Rice Stories

Alicante has been elected Gastronomic City 2025 with the slogan “1001 rice dishes”, a recognition of the city’s gastronomy and its passion for rice culture. At Restaurante Dársena we join this celebration by participating in initiatives such as the rice symposium of the University of Alicante, with the aim of perfecting every detail of our cuisine and sharing the essence of the best rice in the region.

At Dársena we want to offer you an unforgettable gastronomic experience, inviting you to try our exquisite rice dishes, prepared with carefully selected ingredients and with all the enthusiasm that defines us from the very first moment. Each elaboration reflects our commitment to quality cuisine, respect for tradition and a relentless desire for innovation.

Private Workshop

Live an exclusive experience with our head chef in the central kitchen of the restaurant. Throughout this workshop, you will prepare from scratch an authentic arroz a banda, starting with the preparation of the background and the selection of the best raw material, culminating with the perfect point of cooking. All this with the advice and support of an authentic rice expert.

  • Sessions: Tuesday to Friday, at 1:00 pm (subject to availability).
  • Seating: Maximum 2 persons per workshop.
  • Price: Per person.

Rice Symposium and School

In Dársena we live rice as a true art, and that is why we have created two essential experiences for all lovers of good food.

The Rice Symposium is our annual meeting that brings together farmers, scientists, chefs and enthusiasts from around the world to exchange ideas, innovate and discover new nuances of this fundamental ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine.

The Rice School offers workshops in which our rice chefs share their secrets, recipes and techniques to cook the best rice in Alicante. From the choice of ingredients to the ideal cooking point, you will have the opportunity to learn step by step and experience firsthand the passion we feel in Dársena for each grain.
